No Lack of Honest Gain or Need of Dishonest Spoil
Amplified Bible 31:11, “The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of [honest] gain or need of [dishonest] spoil.”
Proverbs Chapter 31.. “How blessed we are to have such a complete description of what pleases God for our lives as women!” When we build our lives on our relationship with Christ, he makes us, women, a reservoir full of richness and strength for first of all our husbands and then all of the people who encompass our lives. Our strength and diligence cause our husband to be successful! Because he can confidently trust and rely on "her", he has no "lack of honest gain or need of dishonest spoil".
When he is married to a "virtuous" woman it makes him financially prosperous and successful in his career. He sees himself as a higher class citizen because his wife carries herself that way. The people that we are as their wives either bring them up or bring them down. If we live in excellence in the areas of life we are called to, that will influence them to excellence & success! I believe my husband is successful and prosperous in his career because of the combination of his own abilities and integrity & my integrity and strength in the areas I am called to. He will prosper which brings in the finances that we need (honest gain) and because I am content and know how to distinguish the things that are truly needs and wants, I don't overspend, I buy for our household with care and diligence and he doesn't feel like he needs to scramble to bring in more money because I am not managing the house well or because I am being sucked into the world's deception that we need the world's extravagancies. If a wife puts those expectations on her husband, he feels pressure to scramble for "dishonest gain". When he is doing his best in the job that God has provided for him, the earnings he brings in are God-ordained, exactly the amount that the family needs. It is our job as wives to celebrate their paychecks and to make that amount work with joy!
What a great gift we have the potential to give them through our diligence, personal integrity and contentment, which are all centered in a vibrant relationship with the Lord , that God's truth continues to shape our thoughts and to bump out the damaging thoughts of the world.
