Easy Exercise?
Prov 31:17 She girds herself with strength [spiritual, mental, and physical fitness for her God-given task] and makes her arms strong and firm.
Really?! Does God care about our physical fitness? Isn't it kind of selfish, maybe a little vain to spend the time on exercise when you could be doing something for someone else, developing your spirit in some way or knocking some important task off your to do list?
Guess what? God values whether our arms are strong and firm; making us the best able to perform our "God-given task"(s).
It's not easy to make ourselves do though, is it. To fit it in when everything else is screaming out from the moment our feet hit the floor. I think this will help.
First of all, renew your mind.. change your thinking. There isn't andything more important on your to do list. (I am saying that but am having trouble accepting it myself!) If you're not strong, how are you going to perform your God given tasks today and long term?
Then realize that small amounts consistently done are amazingly powerful. I don't look forward to long periods of pain. 10 minutes a day of strength training is just perfect. One day you can focus on lower body, one day upper body and then abs... rotate around. Add one day of stretching/yoga here and there. Perfect!
Here's a great, easy and FREE way to do it that I use all the time. Go to YouTube and type in "Denise Austin Strength". She has tons of FREE 5 - 20 minute videos for whatever body part you want to work on that day.
Don't think about it, just do it!! Jump up after your 10 minutes, throw on your shoes and go for a 2 mile walk and WALLAH, YOU'RE DONE. You've done strength and cardio and you're on your way, powerful enough to complete your God given tasks!
